New diagnostic tool offers urinalysis results at the point of care in just four minutes

BIG LAKE, MINN. (February 9, 2026) – Veterinary diagnostics company Bionote USA introduces the Vcheck U, a new urinalysis analyzer that provides both urine chemistry and sediment analysis for canine and feline patients in a single unit.

In just four minutes, the Vcheck U screens samples for 15 chemistry and 16 sediment parameters, analyzing essential information for detecting metabolic issues, kidney function, infections (including urinary tract infections), kidney stones and more. The analyzer then produces individual images captured with 40X magnification objective lens to provide veterinarians with detailed diagnostic information for fast, informed treatment decision-making.

The Vcheck U is designed for ease of use, with a simplified testing procedure, easy maintenance and AI-integration for interpreting results. The reagent pack is integrated for easy loading and unloading, and the Vcheck U automatically registers loaded reagents. Centrifugation, supernatant disposal, slide glass and staining are also automated to improve efficiency.

“Most urinalysis analyzers in the industry only focus on sediment analysis. The Vcheck U provides veterinarians a more comprehensive look at a patient’s health with both chemistry and sediment analysis run on the same unit at the same time,” said Bionote USA Head of Sales & Strategic Partnerships Kalani Inez. “With more information available faster and at a more affordable price point, the Vcheck U is the latest innovation from Bionote that helps veterinarians practice medicine on their own terms and without barriers to care.”

The Vcheck U joins the Vcheck family of in-clinic diagnostic solutions, including the europium-based Vcheck F line of quantitative in-clinic biomarker tests and immunoassay analyzers, such as the Vcheck V200. In 2025, Bionote USA also added the Vcheck C1 in-clinic chemistry analyzer and Vcheck H6 hematology analyzer to further expand a veterinarian’s diagnostic capabilities.
