Bionote USA Partners with Not One More Vet, Raises Funds for Mental Health Advocacy and Resources

Initiatives to drive awareness and donations

BIG LAKE, MINN. (May 28, 2025) – Bionote USA, a veterinary diagnostics provider, has partnered with 501(c)(3) organization Not One More Vet (NOMV) to raise awareness and funds that support sustainable well-being programs for professionals in the veterinary industry. During this month’s focus on mental health awareness, Bionote is a sponsor of NOMV’s Race Around the World, a global event that is an important outreach and awareness program for NOMV. Its goal is to involve, engage and energize a movement to elevate wellness in veterinary medicine.

Earlier this year, Bionote kicked off its fundraising for NOMV with a donation drive at the largest veterinary industry tradeshows: Veterinary Meeting and Expo (VMX) and Western Veterinary Conference (WVC). Show attendees wearing special Bionote T-shirts participated in photo opportunities resulting in pictures and a social media campaign that demonstrated the community’s support for NOMV.

“Supporting mental health within the veterinary community is an absolutely worthy and important cause,” said Randy Knick, president of Bionote USA. “We are inspired by everyone who has helped Bionote to contribute to this effort to support NOMV.”

The challenges of working in a veterinary clinic are well-documented, with several studies finding burnout, compassion fatigue and depression rates to be high in this field.  A 2024 survey by Merck Animal Health found that there has been a substantial increase in support for mental health resources, as 38 percent of clinics now offer employee assistance programs (EAP) compared to 31 percent in 2021. However, most veterinarians still rely on outpatient treatment and counseling.

NOMV offers mental health and well-being resources for all veterinary professionals using multiple innovative pathways. Peer support options include anonymous online chats, psycho-educational group and individual sessions, monitored online forums, resources in the form of financial support and curated resources.  NOMV provides education and outreach through a clinic well-being certification program, CLEAR Blueprint, and a variety of outreach seminars and materials.
